Lay is srsly so good with speeches.I have not seen eng subs till now, thank you for posting. When Lay said that winning best male group feels refreshing,I started to look at it differently and I think I might get what he meant. They are the group with 16 daesangs on their back. It`s a heavy weight they have to carry every day, everywhere they show up.What can winning best group add to that ?It won`t add any more responsibility,it`s not a grand prize, but however,it`s still an accomplishment.Accomplishment which has a bit lighter feel to it and allows them to feel less pressured about themselves as artists in general. Earlier at Melon, even though I was very happy that the whole awards ceremonies seemed to about them,in the ending, with their speech and how they closed out the show,I had this unexpected sudden sad feeling hit me.Will this mean they have to step back now?I mean they already won all 3 daesangs.Something no other artist has done before, its not about whether they excel themselves in the future or not, award ceremonies might just won`t be willing to give them more grand prizes, simply because they have won too much. But on the other hand.EXO are young. It`s so complicated and conflicting situation.Just because they achieved more than any artist in kpop history they have to slow down now?? But look at them, they don`t want to slow down. Winning best male group must have felt like Lay said refreshing to them.Yes ,after almost 5 years, they are still best boygroup. With new groups debuting every year, new faces every day,Mama still couldn`t give it to somebody else,Because no matter what people like to say,There are on top,and what I mean is on top of themselves, not comparing them to others.Untill EXO says that they will work harder to show us better performances,They will always top themselves.
Now,that I think of it, I am happy that they won best male group and not artist of the year, and I am not saying this to make my mood lift up,since I was somehow sad about it yesterday.I really think taking 2 daesangs yesterday and obviously no best male group, would have added a lot more pressure to their already weighted shoulders.Instead they took home award which leaves room for improvement(best male, something that was missing from MMA,because obvsly it felt like it can`t get any better and if it can`t get any better, what is there left?) and award (daesang) which broke another record and made a history.
In the end it feels like they are still fresh and looking forward to the future activities, while on the other hand they are breaking some serous records which might even never be broken.
I am sincerely happy about MAMA 2016.

I have always been thankful for all of EXOs awards and Achievements, but I mostly saw the Daesang as most important. When it came to lesser awards I thought those were just like a commodity that anyone trending group can get, and if EXO so happens to be one of the ones that got it, then great (looking at it now it almost seems like it was given as a replacement for ArtOTY) but now I see it as so much more. Like that saying goes "once a man twice a baby".Idk if I am making any sense with that. Just know u made me want to appreciate even the smallest of awards more than I did before.

Is so true 4 yo groups achieve so much 16 daesangs is not easy for them.. they have a lot of burden on their shoulder.. people will always look at them,, keeping their eyes on them n hoping for the best from exo.. members know it thats why everytime they receive an awards they always said they will work harder.. People think exo have easier life but in reality they have a lot of burden that they have to carry everyday to prove they deserve what they received:(

I'm not crying, you're crying. Ugh I'm so emo from these speeches, but like how can they possibly work harder than they have been? I want them to take a vacation. Also Yixing looking like he's taking part in an epic rap battle is my aesthetic.

AND I SAID I WOULDNT TALK ABOUT MAMA ANYMORE
